Installation

1

Download and run the .exe installer — it handles everything automatically

Or download the .zip, extract, right-click install.ps1 and select "Run with PowerShell"

2

Restart your computer

3

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region > Keyboard and add the new layout

To apply to login screen: Win+R > intl.cpl > Administrative > Copy settings > check both boxes

To uninstall, run install.ps1 again — it detects the install and offers uninstall interactively.

If Explorer crashes: run .\install.ps1 -HardCleanup to remove all traces.

About

This project extends standard keyboard layouts with typographic symbols accessible via AltGr (Right Alt). Em dashes, curly quotes, copyright signs, currency symbols, and more — all without switching layouts or memorizing Unicode codes. The US+POL variant lets you keep English as your Windows system language while having all Polish and typographic characters available.

Based on Typography Keyboard Layout by Ilya Birman.
